About Judy Green

Support Built on Experience, Understanding and Belief in Change

I believe that people are capable of far more than they sometimes realise — particularly when they are given the space to understand themselves, recognise their strengths and decide what they genuinely want from life.

My work brings together life coaching, professional experience within addiction recovery and my own lived experience of recovery.

Whether I am working with someone who feels stuck, somebody rebuilding their confidence or an individual creating a new life beyond alcohol or substance use, my role is to provide a space where they can feel heard, challenged, encouraged and supported.

Why This Work Matters To Me

Change becomes possible when we begin to see ourselves differently

I understand both professionally and personally that meaningful change rarely happens simply because somebody tells us what we should do.

It begins when we become more aware of ourselves — our values, patterns, strengths, beliefs and choices — and start taking ownership of what happens next.

That belief sits at the heart of everything I do.

I am passionate about helping people recognise that their past, their circumstances or the difficulties they have experienced do not have to define the rest of their lives.

More Than Theory

Professional Knowledge Meets Lived Experience

I am an experienced Recovery Practitioner and Life Coach, with professional experience across a range of addiction recovery services.

Alongside that professional experience, I also bring my own lived experience of recovery from alcohol and substance addiction.

That matters to me.

Recovery can look very different from the outside than it feels from within. Understanding that journey personally gives me a perspective that sits alongside — rather than replaces — my professional training and experience.

My aim is never to judge somebody for where they are. It is to help them understand where they are, recognise what is possible and begin making decisions that move them towards the life they want.

My Philosophy

The relationship you build with yourself influences everything else

Much of my coaching focuses on strengthening a person’s sense of self — because confidence, purpose and meaningful change often begin there.

Awareness

Understand Yourself

Greater self-awareness can help you recognise your values, patterns, beliefs and what is genuinely important to you.

Belief

Recognise Your Strengths

Change becomes easier when you begin replacing constant self-doubt with a clearer understanding of your abilities, resilience and potential.

Responsibility

Choose What Happens Next

Coaching is not about somebody else making your decisions. It is about helping you develop the clarity and confidence to make your own.

Developing A Stronger Sense Of Self

The areas we can explore together

There is no single definition of personal growth. Different people need to strengthen different parts of themselves at different stages of life.

Self-Awareness

Understanding your thoughts, emotions, patterns and values.

Self-Belief

Recognising your abilities and beginning to trust yourself.

Self-Confidence

Developing confidence in the choices and actions you take.

Self-Worth

Exploring the value you place on yourself and your needs.

Self-Acceptance

Understanding yourself without constantly fighting who you are.

Self-Compassion

Learning to respond to yourself with greater understanding.

Self-Responsibility

Recognising where you have the power to influence your future.

Self-Care

Creating habits and boundaries that support your wellbeing.

Self-Empowerment

Moving from simply thinking about change to actively creating it.

How I Work

Supportive does not have to mean passive

My approach is warm and non-judgemental, but that does not mean avoiding difficult questions.

Good coaching can challenge the way we have been thinking about something for months or even years.

I listen carefully, ask questions designed to create greater awareness and provide the space for you to consider possibilities that may not have occurred to you before.

Within recovery mentoring, I may also draw appropriately on my own experience, knowledge and perspective while helping you remain responsible for your own choices.

My work embraces both 12-Step and holistic perspectives, alongside life coaching, behavioural psychology and awareness-based approaches.

What You Can Expect

In A Client’s Words

Feeling safe enough to be honest matters

“Judy was generous, supportive, and listened without judgement, which was extremely important to me. I felt able to trust her with personal insecurities and fears, and that speaks volumes about her as a coach.”

Live Life With Purpose

The goal is not simply change. It is a life that feels like yours.

One of the greatest privileges in this work is watching somebody begin to take ownership of their own journey.

Sometimes that means making a major decision. Sometimes it means rebuilding confidence slowly. Sometimes it is discovering that life after addiction, uncertainty or a difficult period can contain possibilities that once felt impossible.

Whatever brings you here, my aim is to help you move towards greater clarity, resilience, self-belief and purpose.

Ultimately, this is your life.

And I want to help you live it with purpose.
